sister hunt's birthday

Hello! Hello!! So everybody! The other week as I was praying, I felt
like I needed to stop replying to emails from my friends, not family,
because I only have 14 weeks left here in England and I have to love
every single moment of it and a lot of times after I read all these
emails I feel a little bit distracted and I have a hard time focusing
on my purpose as a missionary. I am sorry. I hope you each know and
feel of my great love for you and will still love me when I come home
despite me not replying to your loving and wonderful emails! I really
do love you all so much and I am excited to give every single part of
my attention to you when I return home. I just really want to
consecrate my thoughts and desires to help in others come unto Christ.

This week has been a week chalk full of incredible miracles!!
Seriously! We have been working really hard to give everything to God.
We are striving to give our thoughts and actions to him always and to
make our desires align with His desires and we are seeing miracles!! I
believe that, "happiness has little to do with the circumstances of
our lives and everything to do with the FOCUS of our lives", we can be
happy in every single aspect of our lives when we come to know that
this life is one of eternal progression and joy! We are able to have
second chances, clean slates, and he ability to overcome our old
selves and become better!! How great is that!

This week we saw this man and his family who used to be members. We
met them on the side of the road about a week ago and they invited us
over for tea. He used to be a member and his family all have different
beliefs and ideas and we got to go to their home. They have such a
lovely home and family. They are so incredible and kind they were
almost a little intimidating. I could feel Satan trying to tell me,
"stop trying" or "don't teach them they don't want to hear it" or
"don't ask to come back, they won't want you to come". I had those
thoughts bouncing in my head but I kept praying for boldness and
bravery to do what I am here to do, which is to help others come unto
Christ! As I was praying and praying, I didn't know what I was saying
but words were coming out and hey invited us back again this week! How
great is that! I learned that Satan will try to stop us. He doesn't
want us to be successful. He wants us to be sad and to destroy us and
all those around us. But we can say no! We can be bold. We can! We
have the power to choose! We are here to act and not to be acted upon!
I am grateful for his ability. I am grateful for  choices and
knowledge! I love being a missionary and sharing the truths that Jesus
Christ taught thousands of years ago. I am so blessed and grateful for
this opportunity!!

So this week is Sister Hunts birthday and so we celebrated today and
went to Nando's!! It is this great chicken restaurant! I'm going to
surprise her!! She thinks I forgot to get her a gift! HA!! I love
surprises!!

I hope you have a great week!! It is a great week to have a great week!!!

opposition and joy in all things

MY FRIENDS!! Hello! Hello!!!

It is Sister Cummins coming to you live from outside the chapel
kitchen, eating a ham sandwich!

It is a great life being a missionary and I have learned a lot of really great things this week!!
It is important to be prepared. I was reasoning Alma 48, in the Book of Mormon, about these two men, Amalickiah and Moroni. Each one is a leader. Moroni leads the people in truth and righteousness and Amalickiah leads his people with lies and deception. They both have strong desires to accomplish their righteous or evil purposes. What I learned is that because of a pro is preparation and desire, he won! If I prepare myself, before a storm of evil hits and have my noughts focused on righteous desires, I will win too! But it won't be me, it will be Heavenly Father, working and achieving his purposes. I am so grateful to get to be a part of that!

I have also learned to just have joy. Just take things one step at a time and God will work everything out. I am focusing on just doing what I can right now and giving it my all. I am taking one day at a time and I am happier then I have ever been before. I feel less prone to compare or be sad and if I do, I just think of all the blessings God gives to me. It is amazing how much good Heavenly Father does for us, sometimes we just have to open our eyes and see. I love him. I love sharing his love with others. I love being his missionary to teach basic truths. It isn't about religion. It isn't about making others Mormons. What matters is truth. Truth that will bring us home. Truth at cleanses and changes us. What matters is being changed for the better and growing and that is what I get to do each day. The message we share is true, it's simple. It's from our Father in Heaven and I love it with the entirety of my soul. We will have trials, we will have set backs. Everyone does. They help us grow. I am grateful for my set backs and imperfections because I know they are helping me to accomplish my purpose in life which is to change!! I love change!!

Have a blessed day! Focus on others. Read the Book of Mormon. Be sincere. You are more loved than you know. It is a great day to have a great day!!

hi! hey! hello!

Hello! Hello! All of my friends! It is so good to get the chance to
write you once again! This week I learned so much about resilience. In
our lives it is important that we change and that we change
continually for the rest of lives taking it one day at a time.
Striving to do what we can today to become the people God wants us to
become. This is the time to prepare to meet God. This is the time to
change and become like our Saviour Jesus Christ, this is the
time....SO TAKE IT! Take every opportunity to be changed for good!
Take every opportunity to learn and grow! It's only short and we have
to keep going, keep growing, keep trying. Keep pushing. We have to
keep going. This life is so good. We are all children of God and we
have to not just endure to the end but enjoy every moment to the end.
This week, I was having a hard time. I had a good cry, looked up, and
saw this wonderful girl named Bridget with a huge smile on her face.
She was so lovely. She was a miracle. I also got to see old friends
from Preston and Wrekin. What a tender mercy that was to see they
still were doing well and pushing forward. I love being a missionary.
I love it with my entire being. We are so lucky to be alive. We are
lucky to know each other. I love you so much. Keep your head up. "Be
still and know that he is God." -D&C 6 he is there. I testify to you
that I know it. He loves us and he has a plan for us. Expect miracles!
Love you all!!
